I like the idea of an erasable pad. The two drawbacks I see are (1) the lock works to keep you from erasing what's on screen, but it doesn't stop you from continuing to write -- so if you accidentally make more strokes on the screen they show up; and (2) You have to be very careful with hand placement when writing, because it will pick up pressure on the screen as a mark. Plus, if you make a mistake, you have to erase everything and start over from a blank screen. BUT I EXPECTED MOST OF THOSE CHARACTERISTICS WHEN I BOUGHT IT, so, it I was already willing to live with that . Now I just wish it was bigger. I still like it, though.
