Always messed around checking and setting angles on the jig saw and miter saw, and seldom seemed accurate. This makes checking settings quick and easy. Somewhat sensitive, ie. It can take a few seconds to calm down and can move several hundred with a simple swing of the blade. But really like that for reviewing and tweaking presets - an easy and quick way to review presets, or every angle in between, before doing the awkward finishing. I really like these digital tools. The filling level control is also practical. If you've ever wondered if your miter saw will hold the angle through the entire sliding cut, this will tell you how far it can go - you may find that you need to correct your technique to avoid applying side pressure that breaks the angle of the saw head can change when sliding. On the other hand, you might get too carried away with measuring woodworking in hundredths of a degree! Update: I've found that using this tool on a ruler to check plumb/level is not a good idea. The 24" bubble level allows you to move the spirit level from 1/16 to 1/8+" at the end before reading any changes on the cube. So it's still a good idea to double check the corners.
