The flat finish is the best in my rating
The quality of the strap and buckle is good but I was surprised that the leather has a flat surface. Most leather belts have a shiny appearance. This belt is just a flat matte finish. Without impregnation. If you want to wear it while playing golf or other sweaty activities, sweat through the strap. I wore it to golf in hot Florida and by the time I finished it was soaking wet. I'll try impregnation, maybe it will help.
