the skin begins to smell.
I know feet are notorious for smelly odors, but this and another pair of New Balance Sweed Top shoes quickly began to smell like cat pee after only a few weeks of wear. I love New Balance for the width of the shoe and their fake shoes didn't hurt me (now I'm wearing a pair that are a year old and don't smell). These shoes looked great but could not be worn in public or private after starting chemo and none of my other shoes had this problem.
