Review on 👣 Keratex KHP 200 Hoof Putty: Durable 200g Solution for Hoof Care and Repair by Jesus Samaddar

Purchased due to using Keratex hoof sealant and very happy with how it has helped strengthen my horse's hooves as well as reviews of how great it is for abscesses in the hooves, My results on an old donkey with an abscess were NOT GOOD. The sealant said it would harden and become a protective seal, the problem was the material that had hardened from a small amount turned into a pea like stone that just got stuck in the hoof causing pain rather than comfort. The product was extremely difficult to soften and work with, to the point where you had to touch it with the warmth of your hands. My hands hurt more than I think the abscess hurt my ass. I think it's a good product if you can put it on your hoof, but it's not the easiest application. I would also like to add that I applied the product rather than wrapping the hoof hoping to get a flat clean seal. When my farrier came in we found that the abscess had actually blasted another hole in the hoof because the putty had sealed the first hole. . If you try this product, I recommend checking the hoof after a few days. If your animal is still lame you may have the same problem as me, if not then maybe it worked for you.
