Compression stockings have been prescribed to me for many years for two different conditions. They work well and are a real value compared to prescription stockings. With each wash, the compression gradually decreases. As stated in the product documentation, it is important to wash stockings in cold water and dry at a cool temperature. I find it best to wash them in the sink and dry them on a towel rail. I also bought a pair of classic Futuro socks which only lasted two weeks before a hole in the toe appeared. These stockings are very difficult to wash. I put it on the first time but after several washes it gets easier.
