My wife and I have never cooked spaetzle. We looked at several options and settled on this one rather than the one where the bathtub moves along the way. Works very well. Fits snugly in the pot we just used boiled water in. We have no issues with too much heat causing the dough to stick to the spaetzle - whether it's on the top, bottom or your fingers. Extremely easy cleaning, which cannot be said of the tub. We used the recipe that came with the spaetzle maker, but we'll likely try other recipes that are readily available. The spaetzle fall through the holes and quickly rise to the surface of the water. Our German friend uses the "Press" type, which is a bit more expensive but requires less cleaning and works very well. I chose the manufacturer Goldspatz Spรคtzle from the cheaper variants, because I suspect it is SS and thicker material. It is very durable - I would buy the same again. Very satisfied!
