you have many attitudes for a big guy. If you are not a strong swimmer and a tall person and plan on being in the water with this to save your life I would suggest adding a crotch strap as the wide armholes are good and the vest floats as soon as it is in the water. . I don't think it would be that difficult to add a strap and I will add one to mine. I think this way the vest can be worn less tight and the strap is lost and doesn't matter when you're not in the water. I will be wearing mine canoeing and love the freedom of movement this vest offers.
