I've never liked selfie sticks, let alone taking pictures of complete strangers for me, so if I'm on vacation with my family, that might be the time I was looking for one, mainly because it doubles as a tripod and can also hold a regular camera (with the included mount). Of course why not; it's compact, very light and expandable, all at a reasonable price. And since airlines charge for each piece of luggage, it doesn't take up much space or weight. It connects to your phone via Bluetooth, and the "clicker" even detaches, allowing you to Capturing images from quite a distance - much farther than I'm sure anyone could need. During testing, I kept stepping back and wondering how far the distance is between me and my phone. My camera/tripod was set up at the back of the house and as far as my front door I was still able to shoot from a distance (over 30ft definitely). So the truth is, I don't know how much more range he can get, but he definitely impressed me. Again, I think this should be more than enough in any practical application.
