Review on SCO UnixWare 7 by Sean Powers
Great alternative if you want an easier way than Samba
This version was easy for me to install since I have some experience with Linux, but it took my computer about 20-30 minutes just to get all of these components installed correctly (I had problems with one component called "Xenix" which caused other parts not to work).
The benefits are being able to access files anywhere in our organization without having to take a flash drive or even use any sort of file sharing programs like DropBox! It's also nice because we can now access those same shared folders right off Windows computers as well.
Pros
- Easy administration/Setup & Installation.
- Very reliable product that hasn't faltered yet after many years service time so far
- There is no need at this point if someone were considering purchasing another system they should do their research first before committing financial resources into anything else!
- Has great capabilities both server side / client sideside
- Can be used from different platforms such an OS X through SSH connections etcetera
