I've tried too many gaiters that were way too tight. This one is comfortable on me. I'm a woman with an average hat size. The ear loops don't pull my ears - in fact, there's room enough for me to say this would work well on a man's face, too. Especially nice is that, even though it fits loosely, it still stays up and over my nose. In fact, I put my glasses up on top of where it covers my nose and that eliminates any fogging. It feels cool on, too. I haven't had a chance to test the UV protection it offers, but the face that it's a dark fabric would certainly help with that. I'm happy I ordered it and I recommend it!
