In scooters of other companies, a more convenient way: the lever has a downward stroke and is pressed with your foot. Pretty narrow board, so to change your push foot (my shoe size is 43) you either have to stop, move your main foot to the edge, or change them while jumping (which is what I'm used to). Not a very good rear wing will not protect you from the spray of a puddle through which you drove at a speed exceeding walking speed.
