Review on Delta RP19804 1300 Catridge Assembly by Flocka Parsons

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It works! but it doesn't look exactly the same.

The main difference was the hot/cold set limiter which would otherwise be hidden in the handle. Replace it if you can guess because it doesn't look exactly the same. Fixed my leaky bathtub faucet! Assuming you don't put the lid back on, this should take 15 to 30 minutes for inexperienced users, more or less depending on how stuck things are and if you can find the water shutoff valve. If you have experience, you probably don't even read this review and will probably finish it. If you've never replaced one of these, be prepared. Looks like a lot, but it's not too bad: 1) TURN THE WATER OFF: Mine was in the basement. My wife helped me make sure it was the correct shut off valve by talking on the phone and testing the water while I was in the basement. This saved me the time of having to go back and check myself by asking someone on the other end for confirmation. 2) TOOLS RECOMMENDED: - 2 rags (1 over the drain, one to wipe the internal piping) - Oil filter wrench. DO NOT USE A PIPE WRENCH! (A wrench with a rubber loop will help you loosen the coupler without damaging the pipes and without crimping the coupler with a pipe wrench: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NAP6FQJ) - Pliers with needles ( to pull out the old assembly) - multi-head screwdriver (or just a flat and Phillips screwdriver). Flat to remove the cover on the handle and Phillips to unscrew it - Optional: CLR or other limescale remover - Optional: Brush to clean the inside of the piping Reassembly is as tight as possible. If necessary, use CLR spray and a cleaning brush if there is a lot of limescale or deposits. - Insert the new assembly with the hot side (probably) to the left. - Reattach the sleeve. - Reattach the bushing. - Adjust the HOT/COLD limiter to your preference - reinstall the handle.* ***Follow the assembly instructions to allow water to flow to loosen and remove debris. Enjoy your leak-free faucet!
