The hand was able to finally relax. Like a lot of other people, I do all of my work on the computer; consequently, the primary tools I use are the keyboard and mouse. My wrist started to hurt after I used an ordinary OEM mouse that cost one hundred rubles for approximately half a year. After around five minutes of effort, the right hand started to feel numb for the first time, which was followed by some little complaining. After holding my arm together with an elastic bandage for a week, I made a decision and purchased a trackball. For approximately a month, this was not the norm. For scrolling, I decided to use this layout: the additional key to the left is the middle button, and the key to the right is the universal scroll. In browsers, the middle key is used to open new tabs, and scrolling is also assigned to it, thus it's a really helpful key to have. That is to say, I'm accustomed to the fact that there is no wheel. In situations where turning the middle button is not an option, I use the universal scroll. If it doesn't work, I just have to aim and press the scroll button in the window. I'd also like to mention that when I use the trackball as a manipulator, I don't get the impression of incredibly high accuracy; rather, everything seems to be the same. There is some inertia in the ball, which might be a challenge when you need to spin it quickly. You can use your finger to control the speed of the spin if you need to go more slowly. That is to say, I did not achieve a new level of ease of use or swiftness in Vegas and Photoshop; rather, I just became accustomed to using the keyboard and now perform all of my tasks in the same manner as when I used the mouse. However, there is no fatigue experienced in the hand, which is a significant advantage.
