I only gave those two stars because it used to be software, but even that was a problem. Remote Control - I have several remote controls that I brought for this key and this remote control was the only one that caused problems for both me and the locksmith. He was able to get him to program, but only after several attempts. The rest of the remote controls work perfectly. Remote start doesn't work either. Nice button but smh. The key is where the main problem lies. The button has a plus sign indicating that it must be programmable. The problem is that there is nothing to program. The key cannot be programmed with the car and I get the error message "Starting disabled". If I start the car immediately, the car starts but nothing works on the dashboard. If I wait and let the car read the key, I get an error message and the key won't start the car. Solution? Since the key is already carved, I'm good at digging. Throw away the key and start over. This key does not work as stated in the vehicle. Maybe good for a necklace? No, it's not worth it either.
