I hated putting this together. In my life I have collected a lot of toys for myself and my child and this is the first time I really didn't like them. The thing is complicated enough and the instructions so incomprehensible that the manufacturer had to create a video tutorial as an add-on, and even that is too quick to follow. The plastic doesn't bend well and relies on pieces of cardboard for added dimension (although, to be honest, they're about as strong as the plastic pieces). It should click together and stay put, but it's kind of sticky and you really have to press and hold and hope it finally clicks. Otherwise, the pieces will fall apart every time you pick it up. The buttons (actually it's a single button that can be pressed from either side) for the Batsignal and the computer are clearly supposed to be spring-loaded switches, but they only click, I'd say every ten tries, if pressed firmly, wobbled and prayed. Otherwise, you'll have to keep your finger on it to keep the light on (it's harder than it looks after about ten seconds). I wouldn't be surprised if the lock stops working at some point. I was missing one piece but got two others. When I wrote to the manufacturer I had to fill out a number of redundant questionnaires and emails, but they did everything right and I received the part in just over a week. Unfortunately they sent me this part with a brand new Batcave. My baby doesn't need a second one and I really don't think it's right to give a baby something when you know he's missing something, but I have to come up with something or there's a lot of plastic waste. I think there should have been a more environmentally friendly way to fix it, but they did it, and fast, so everything points to that. world, and none of it matters because he hasn't put it off since he got it for his birthday last week. So make your choice accordingly.
