Although this stand mixer isn't from their "High" range, it looks and feels a lot better than you'd expect for the price. Sure, KitchenAid is a good brand, and while they've slightly shortened the lifespan of many of their products over the years (along with most other companies), it's proof that their kitchen tools are better. First off, it's great - the matte black is gorgeous, it pairs well with just about any other color, and it's super easy to clean - especially since you can throw pretty much everything but the base in the dishwasher and then just wipe the base. clean. I've seen other reviews mention its size but I totally disagree. In fact, I don't know of any other full-size processor (12 cups or larger) that takes up less space overall. It has less floor space than any I've had, and it's also the first I've seen with such a smart storage system - all the blades and bits fit in the bowl - and they all fit in a protective carrier system that helps to avoid finger cuts - I've experienced this too many times to count! Most drawers in my closets aren't tall enough to hold the unit fully assembled, but since the lid is fully removable (easy to clean!) I can store 2 or 3 of these just about anywhere. commented that they wish they had more settings or speed options, but I like the simplicity of the bass/treble and dynamics. I've never had any issues with it, and the only time it would have been nice to tweak it more was when kneading dough, but it was still quick and easy with the settings that were in place. So far I've made sauces, salsa, veggie slices, sliced cheese, meats and veggies, and shredded cabbage and cheese - both hard and "regular". All of this was easy, quick and clear with the attachments provided. Overall this is a great food processor and I am very happy to have it in my kitchen!
