Really only suitable for small birds

This is supposed to fit the grays and mine is even a bit smaller - something like the 1st percentile in weight for this species - but of course she likes to climb up and to that wire. so thin that her legs cannot close around him. She balances there like a tightrope walker even after I wrap the 1/4 inch rope around her. So I have to go back and wind up some more. The bar she's supposed to sit on is slippery so I wrapped that around her too and now it works great. I assume the swing needs more rope but she hasn't used it yet so I don't know. She loves any toys I can hang from it, although it was difficult to find a few short enough yet strong enough for the gray so that's a plus! It was easy to put together, taking about two hours over two evenings. Everything suitable for a miracle: thanks to the manufacturer for this! And the instructions aren't bad by the way - just a bug that's easy to fix, however it seems wobbly and doesn't have a really stable place to hold onto to move it, but I think you will only be a problem if you try to macaw him, which of course you won't, amirite? I wouldn't try to move it with a flightless bird on it, which is what I was hoping. The danger is too great that he will tip over with them and they will fall down. I had to put wooden and rope ladders on top of wire ladders to give it a decent footing, as another reviewer recommended. And as others have pointed out, utensils are perfect for catching poop. So I generally don't use her until she's been working out at the gym for a while and is probably hungry/drunk and coming down to eat/drink. Then I'll bring her back. I was expecting these two releases, so it's okay. I bought it for study. I started working from home during the pandemic and I love it so it looks like a permanent arrangement. It's a side job, but still. The bird used to spend 20 hours a week here with me on a boring, plain swinging perch. I wanted her to have something to climb on, something that would be stimulating and fun. I wanted to enrich the living space! And it works for everything except climbing: I literally have to wrap rope around every inch of it to give it support. However, for the money this is good quality. Suitable for small house/room. And it grows from it. Yesterday she even refused to come back to work after lunch because she thought I would talk her into it: it was very unusual because she usually gets upset with me when I'm late. Today, when the time came, I let her get over herself, which she eventually did. For a small bird, especially one that can fly from one perch to another (which it cannot, being an avid picker), this would be ideal.

Pros
  • VERSATILITY: Our small parrot stand includes 8 hooks for hanging toys and treats and 3 ladders for a large climbing space. Swings and perches will add more fun to your pet from the game.
