Squeaky rubber bands and drawstrings

I really wanted to like these as I love spiral bands but they don't feel comfortable to me. I have very thin hair so I have to twist the tie more than twice to keep it in good condition. When I do this my hair gets caught in the tie after loosening because it is a very squeaky and shiny material. Also, it's tough and doesn't hold up well. I ended up buying others as they just don't work for me. Too bad I didn't return them before I gave three away. Image for comparison between these and the ones I later bought from the store.
