My favorite headphones for a long time. I bought several pairs to quickly replace if they break. At one point I swapped out the old version of these headphones for a newer one and the sound got noticeably worse. I even opened another pair that I knew were older to compare. I even bought a second pair to make sure the new pair I had wasn't just defective. Older headphones sound much cleaner, the bass is emphasized but not enough to drown out other noises. The new ones also have strong bass, but the mids and highs are poor and the whole thing ends up sounding tinny. Overall much worse listening experience.
