This drive exceeds the manufacturer's claims for sequential read and write speeds right out of the box. It was a pleasant surprise! It's literally a solid piece of Black Metal. Very high quality fit and finish with very high quality finish. It's about the size of a deck of cards, but feels heavy and solid in your hand. Mine stays in place, tucked away at the base of my iMac Pro. Using this drive as the primary cache/storage for the iMac Pro Accessory Station in post production. It runs 24/7 at over 90% capacity and its performance and reliability have been top notch. Makes 4K DPX and EXR image sequences look like ProRes on the editing timeline.
