Review on πŸ”Š Enhanced Dayton Audio DTA30HP Class D Mini Amplifier with Headphone Output - Boost Your Audio Experience by Kyle Ross

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works great for my purposes. Clean, quiet, and doesn't use much power when left on, but does when idle.

I bought this to replace another mini amp that worked great for my purposes but picked up noise after moving to a new location. I've spent a lot of time reading about all the other mini amps that are more expensive than this one and others often get a high percentage of 1 star reviews. I tried it because it had mostly positive reviews on the Parts Express website. Also, since I usually leave the amp on all the time, I don't need anything that draws a lot of power. I usually don't need more than a few watts of power either. I was pleasantly surprised by this amp. This amp is clean, compact, quiet and doesn't pick up the noise that my old amp picked up in a new location. The power supply and the amp itself don't feel overly warm when idling. I use it on my desk to power small passive Optimus Pro X55av speakers from my PC. I use it to watch videos, listen to music and record/create songs. While it won't be anything a real recording studio would use, there's no reason you can't record songs with my setup. I just didn't want a huge amp on my desk. I wanted something small, and the smaller the better. Larger "real" amps use a lot more standby power and take up a lot more space. As long as this amp stands the test of time, it's fine for my purposes. If you really don't need more power then this amp seems like a great choice and it comes with a 5 year guarantee.
