I bought both a precision and a budget version of this bearing. It was a much higher quality bearing and cost about $6 more than the precision bearing. According to Amazon and all other parts catalogs, this is the correct front outer hub bearing on a '97 Pathfinder. The bearing ID I received was 1-2 thousandths smaller than the spindle. A precision bearing with the exact same part number will fit perfectly. It's possible I received an incorrectly machined bearing. I bought the exact same bearing from Car-Quest the next day (50% more than the Amazon price). This is an identical national camp, just in an auto quest box, and it fits perfectly. So it was just one of the examples of machine processing.
