Review on πŸš— SHINEJACK Car Buffer Polisher, 750w Dual Action Car Detailing Polisher, 9mm Long-Throw Orbital Polisher with 6-speed Adjustment (2500-6500r) by Brian Graham

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good polishing machine

This rating relates to the ShineJack 5", 1650-4800 rpm, eccentricity 0.83". I've always been more of a manual or orbital buffer user. I've always known that high speed buffers give the best results, but they can damage the paint very easily. It's a great alternative considering it's eccentric and has a wide range of RPMs to choose from. The key to using buffers, especially high-speed buffers, is to never stop moving. If you stop moving you can generate heat almost immediately and peel or burn the clear coat/finish. I've seen pros burn paint with high speed buffers. Where it burns, it begins to turn brown. It's best, especially if you're new to buffing, to start at a low RPM and keep going. Apply the product to the pad and press the pad against the vehicle before turning on the buffer. There are many great videos on polishing. I like this buffer for its ergonomic design and many features. It's very convenient and you have multiple places and ways to store it. They even have two different types of detachable handles. Some buffers have bad or oversized descriptors, making them unwieldy, but that's not the case here. I love the combo of microfiber towels, wash mitts and the various pads that come with it. When I run out of pads, I replace them with the best pads I can find. Different pads are used for different purposes, so you need to make sure you're using the right pad for the job. I like the included case, but I'd really like a hard case instead. Overall, I really like this buffer and plan to use it a lot. I hope this buffer lasts for years to come and is good value for what you get.

Pros
  • Not only usable for the intended purpose
Cons
  • Not automatic
