I've been using this for a month after my last teapot literally fell apart. My last kettle worked for about two years without any problems (except for a horrible squeak instead of a pleasant whistling) on electric stoves. But after we moved to a new house with a gas stove, I found that the handle was attached to the kettle with plastic parts.
