Great as an emergency light in the event of a power outage
This is part of the power outage alarm system in my basement over the swamp. The system is powered by a 12 VDC power supply consisting of 8 D-cells; It turns on the siren when there is a power outage in the house. I needed something to light up the area in this case before I could turn on the 120VAC backup power and this light is perfect. It is powered by a 12V DC battery and does not consume much power at all. It has a switch so I can turn it off when another emergency light is on. Under $10 for this, super bright and easy to install!
