Bought for perceived IR capabilities. That fails miserably. IR with camera alone is 5-8 feet and it's in space. Aside from being completely useless, the extra IR light is a pinpoint beam that goes a long way but is useless to the camera, and when you zoom it's so blurry you can't make out what you're looking at. IF you spend another 10-15 dollars. and buy a wide beam infrared flashlight, it will be a good facility for indoor ghost hunting. Video and Pix-n-ir modes are good with a wide range of aftermarket IR lights. The usual everyday color mode Pixel and video are good. The start sound and the shutter noise when taking pictures are annoying - really annoying and unfortunately cannot be switched off. A Zoom add-on is simply a type of cell phone customized for a camera. I don't think it's worth more than $100.
