I usually do my nails professionally and during COVID I did this to get my nails done. The edges of some nails are not fully cured. At first I thought maybe I'm not applying gel polish properly etc. My friend/neighbor owns a salon and usually gets my nails done when she's not too busy. Her light was in the salon and we used ours a few times and the problem was definitely the light, that never happened when we used her light. Light doesn't treat all nails right. I've tried putting my hands in different positions, but I don't have big hands. But no matter how I try to position or tilt my nails in the light, it doesn't always hit the edges of some nails. They either wrinkle because they don't cure, or they look like they've cured and then start peeling off sooner than they should because the layer underneath the topcoat hasn't fully cured around the edges. I haven't used that much as it was a backup when my friend wasn't available etc and after the return date now that I've realized it's a light that doesn't treat all my nails properly. I spent money on a machine that doesn't work fully, don't repeat the same mistake.
