It comes with a fitting that fits regular sized hose/tap fittings under the sink. I was expecting a pinch seat valve. The small connector is a big plus, if you live in an apartment and your sink has the right "knockout" for it, you can install and remove it when you move and leave no trace. On the other hand, the connector seems to slow down the flow to the faucet a bit. I would prefer to solder the shaft in an "H" shape (T from copper pipe to T with plug down to allow more sediment to enter and plug to drill a 1/8" hole). in for poppet valve. It's also pretty easy to cap and remove later, or if the poppet valve fails you can just replace a piece of copper and the cap. I like that the filters are designed to be bare. You can use the marker etc. until the replacement date.
