Long review hope it helps

In short these are great gloves. Experienced boxers will surely like them. They are worth every penny and more. However, the key to owning and using these gloves is patience. They are very well made and made from durable leather so they are very sturdy and hard when new. It was very uncomfortable at first to wear them with my hands wrapped and it feels like I'm putting the boas on my hands. I didn't hit them hard for at least a few days. After about 60 3 minute laps on a heavy bag and 10-12 hours of sitting on them in my office chair (palms down and thumbs out) they become very comfortable. They are amazing and make you look and feel like a million bucks when you wear them. I went with Electric Blue and the image on Revain and Cleto Reyes' website actually captures the color very well, while in my image they look a bit darker. You'll get compliments from people who know boxing and people who don't - they exude quality and passion and everyone can see it. 10 years of boxing experience and a history of minor hand injuries and wrist sprains and I don't think it's lacking in protection. With any glove, hands should definitely be wrapped, and I get the impression that many don't. The only time I hurt myself with it is when I hit one of those old stone heavy sacks with powerful punches, which happens with any glove. But of course you can always use Winning, Boxraw, Skull Tec etc. Knuckle guards or Mr. Clean Magic Eraser under bandages for extra protection of the joints and tape around the wrists for extra stability. You just have to be patient while the glove forms around the added bulk as it can get uncomfortably tight at first. In summary, this is probably a pain if you are a beginner. There are many great gloves around $100 that will wear out much quicker and give you more enjoyment out of your first glove. But for people who've worked on it a bit, know what they're doing, and have the patience to break gloves, these are some of the best.
