The knives work well, but with two issues that may or may not be important to you.1) The wood and metal are not flush, as others have noted. The metal slightly protrudes from the wood. To describe the height difference, putting a piece of stationary tape (like B07VZNSYTF) on the wood makes the wood and metal flush.2) These are very handle heavy. Some may like it. I find they easily fall off the plate due to being handle heavy. The handles are also round on the sides, which also causes the knives to fall off the plate more easily than if they had flat sides. But to some, the "heft" may be a feature.
