I think it would be a bit better if it had rubber or something to keep it from sliding but it doesn't. It really slides off a lot, which in turn causes my mask to come off. I bought these for my daughter because she works in healthcare and her ears hurt from wearing a mask all day. She also doesn't like the way they feel. She let me try. No matter what I do, something doesn't stay on my head, and if it does, the headband turns to the side. I would not order this again. It would definitely be better if, as I said, there was rubber underneath to hold it in place, or maybe if the opposite side was cotton.
