Great for the price point but NOT 60 fps.

I chose this while trying to stream Xbox gameplay cheaply. This works fine for what I need, but there are a few issues. (I know I can stream straight from the console. I've been doing this for months. But I've wanted to add overlays and such, and the intermediate overlay services I've tried are way behind.) First, it's heavy and it's not doesn't quite sit. into my laptop's USB port, so I have to be very careful not to slide the laptop in or the connection will be lost. I support it with a stack of stickers to make it more stable. It does require a short USB dongle, but I can imagine that there will be a loss in quality. Speaking of quality, this doesn't output at 60 fps. Spends 30. It's in the description. The quality is okay, but not top notch. So if you want to stream something like Valorant, Apex, etc., your stream won't look as sharp as most people's. As for me, I stream older games that tend to run natively at 30 fps, so far so good. Third, and that's entering tricky territory, but the device is pretty thick. It is slightly larger than it appears in the photos. If you have ports that are close together (as is the case with most USBs), this device is blocking at least one adjacent port. For this reason, I think a key is a good idea if it's short and of high quality so that passthrough doesn't affect the quality of the capture. Furthermore, it works on a plug and play basis and works quite well. Any lag caused by this is minimal and not a problem for the games I play. If you're just starting out in your content creation adventures, this is a good buy to see you through until your streams/videos justify the high cost.
