I used it to hold my macbook air when it is in its docking state, and it convivence for me to take it out and put it back as needed. The fact that it is attached to the bottom of my wooden desk also means that I don't have to worry about my macbook filling up my desk when its docking. I can also put my external storage drive on top of the macbook and there is still room! Wires can pass through easily so there is no worry about tangle wires and USB port being unable to connect.
- Helps reduce clutter on the desktop for improved productivity
- The shelf may not be able to withstand exposure to the elements, limiting its use in outdoor or humid environments
