The wires are much smaller than my 10AWG solar. I think it could be 12 or even 14 AWG. They will work for my application as I assemble the parts before wiring and a breaker between the charge controller and the solar array in the RV would be sufficient safety for the application. My solar is 10 AWG (that's twice the diameter of this adapter).
