This laptop is perfect for my Alienware 17 R4. Regular 17 inch bags will not fit in this laptop due to the large lip on the back. This requires an 18-inch computer bag. It's a pretty basic bag, but I have enough room for my laptop, trackball mouse, and charging cable. , and sometimes I need a surge protector. Of course, if you have a laptop that requires an 18-inch case, I'm willing to bet it's pretty heavy, so obviously every item you add will only make it heavier. The strap is nice and strong. I love how thin the bag is. For example, when walking in busy places, I have been able to drag this laptop to the hospital a few times in the last few months, I could hold it nice and secure next to me without feeling that the strap could take a break or anything like that If you often travel alone and take a small suitcase with wheels, I wouldn't recommend using Velcro to attach your laptop to the suitcase handle. I tried it once just to see how well it worked and the weight of my laptop literally broke the velcro and it knocked my suitcase over. There was no damage but be aware if you pack light in a small bag. Not the best combination. It's a nice feature though and I can't fault the bag itself for that.
