Sanyo DVD/VCR bargain

Sanyo has combined a very good DVD player with a very average VHS player in one device and is offering this at a very reasonable price. I have two of these units (one on top and one on bottom) and have been generally happy with their performance. The DVD player works like magic. The only drawback is the VHS player. On both of my devices, the picture on the VHS player has an annoying squiggly line at the top of the screen. No matter how hard I try to track unity, I can't get rid of the line. He seems to have a mind of his own when he comes and goes, which annoys me to death. It also makes a small static noise when vibrating. The remote control is small but easy to learn and use. Love the audio and video input jacks on the front! Despite the lack of a VHS player, this device is a good buy for the money. I play a lot more DVDs than VHS tapes as I'm phasing out the latter, so stuttering in VHS mode isn't a big issue. If you watch VHS frequently, you might want to consider a different device.
