It was easy enough to install but the one page instructions are in the joke. It provides a useful chart, but the rest has been written. I do not know. Be sure to cut out the "adapters" built into the panel. There's no explanation as to what the adapters are for (I haven't used them) but if they are not removed the plate will not seat properly in some setups. The kit includes screws to attach the plate to the wooden post and these are ridiculously long screws (and nuts) which I think should be used to attach the mailbox to the plate. The screws were too long so I had to use my own. Everything turned out fine in the end, but considering the product is proudly touted as "MADE IN THE USA," it's a disgrace to our country's engineering and manufacturing prowess.
