I make tea every day. sometimes twice. So indispensable for me. With the first one, I just stopped working completely after about 15 months for no apparent reason. The second had a broken lid hinge almost two years later; My husband suspects heat damage. If I broke two of the same item, I would normally not order them again. But I'm about to place an order for my third Ovente teapot in just over three years - and here's why: I love that it's made of glass. I like the light that comes on when it gets hot and the auto shut off. I like that it heats a large amount of water in a very reasonable amount of time. And I love the cheerful lime color in my kitchen. The price is also reasonable, I will order more. If you want something that will last longer, go ahead and spend more money on a different model. But it works for me and the bright lime green makes me happy. No excuses.
