Review on Long-Lasting EBL 9V Lithium Rechargeable Batteries With USB 5400MWh Capacity (Pack Of 2) by David Olson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

May not work for all applications

I just received these today and conducted a quick test with a digital multimeter. After giving it fifteen minutes to settle after charging, a fully charged 9V EBL battery puts out 8.23V compared to 9.51V from a Duracell Procell alkaline battery — that’s a whopping 1.3V less, and could cause problems with some voltage-sensitive devices. The only critical application in my case is with an electronic lock on a safe, and it works fine at that voltage. However, the Bluetooth app that communicates with the lock shows only three of four battery segments lit. Given that the voltage should remain fairly steady over the charge level compared to an alkaline, the 9V EBL should work well for my application and some others like my garage door opener.I wish the output voltage was higher, but the flat voltage curve should compensate for that.

Pros
  • I use 9 volt batteries infrequently.Nice to have batteries charged and ready to use when I need them.
Cons
  • They cannot hold a sustainable amperage so not good for mechanical operations.
