Big, small, powerful and affordable

Much has been said about this camera and it is a great buy. I would add that it is very small - a real pocket camera. It takes much better pictures than a digital camera that is only two years older. It fires quickly and alternates between pressing the button and firing very quickly. The whole camera is now much more intuitive with visual explanations popping up on the display with every selection. It helps turn those underused characters into something you can actually learn and put to good use (like a low-light setting or a smile mode that would otherwise go unnoticed over the life of the camera). Pictures taken with flash are much better. improved over previous Sony. Software, sensor or flash, I don't know. But Flash images look much more natural than previous models. They are neither oversaturated nor undersaturated. In fact, this model is so intuitive and affordable that I sent it to a less tech savvy family member to replace the great Sony digital camera I recommended to them just 2 years ago. I even bought it for my wife and now I use it more often than mine because of its specifications, small size and fast shutter speed. also includes video and audio jacks, making the cable three times thicker and bulkier than previous models. Also, the dial isn't pressed deep enough into the camera, making it easy to rub it with your right hand when taking a picture, which can cause the camera to switch modes. Be sure to get a good memory card like the Sony 2GB. Memory Stick PRO Duo (MSX-M2GS) (retail packaging) or larger Sony Memory Stick PRO DUO 4GB (MSX-M4GS) (retail packaging), both of which come with an adapter for card readers such as the IOGear GFR281 56-inch - 1 card reader/ -writer that transfers photos faster than a direct connection to the camera. I also chose the Sony NP-FG1 InfoLITHIUM Type G Lithium-Ion battery for digital cameras from the Sony W&H series, which displays an in-camera "time remainingโ€ โ€“ something that the standard Sony NP-BG1 battery, the supplied with the camera does not offer.
