I was concerned I wouldn't be able to find a hat box that would fit two of my 19 inch wide brimmed hats. However, I found this article and I am very happy with this solution! It came in a flat box which was odd but it turned out to be compressed and secured with two clasps. After they were removed, the item opened and expanded, the box was much larger than expected. I have 11 summer hats of various sizes and styles and they all fold very nicely on the inside. BUT BEWARE: my largest caps fit straight and are very tight, so 19 inches is just right. Otherwise the container will shrink for flat storage, but why when you use it to store hats? It is worth the price paid. The crate isn't strong enough for air travel unless you can take it on a plane, and space in those overhead bins is limited. If you do, the container could be smashed or torn apart by the case.
