Protects furniture well!
My adopted kittens love it and I love that it protects my bed frame where they like to scratch. Cats need to scratch their claws, so I love this alternative to being sprayed or punished for it. This is a win for everyone! It comes with hardware for wall mounting, but I used rotating push pins that screw in to attach it to the mattress and bed frame. Maybe it works on the couch too.
