I got this for a garage entry so I bought it with blemishes because I didn't want it to look perfect. I didn't find any defects on the parts that arrived in the box (it was a little wrinkled but closed/taped). Product 4 of the 7 pieces of wood that make up the umbrella stand are missing. I often buy "damaged" and open boxes for clubhouse and camping. I usually have to supply missing equipment, figure out assembly steps, and occasionally repair or craft damaged parts. That description was a blatant lie! Individual stars explain: (NOT) EASY TO ASSEMBLE. Even if the construction is simple and easy to assemble even without instructions, the lack of 4 bamboo pieces out of 12 that would facilitate assembly is not possible. So 1 star {NO} STRENGTH. If I had all the parts the construction would probably be solid, but with only the parts I have it's structurally untenable. So 1 star (NO) PRICE PRICE I chose this one because it had a stand for umbrellas and walking sticks. The umbrella section cannot be built from the parts I received. So, 1 star Very unlucky Scott
