We have had them for several years and they still work. They won't bend, scratch or rust. They are very easy to clean and use. My kids love smoothies and would rather drink them through a straw than without as it gets on their faces and I can confirm this LOL by erasing the blue ring around their faces many times. When I was growing up, your parents bought straws. They were always so hard to keep on hand that they either ran out or were bulky and difficult to store etc. Worse, if they insisted on washing and reusing them, they would warp, become damaged and become moldy. store and always have straws at hand. I was always concerned that they might hurt themselves because they are so tough, but we've never had a problem with that. Another nice thing is that they are strong, so you can use them to stir or mix drinks without needing a spoon. And they hold thick milkshakes and smoothies without cracking like flimsy plastic straws. Just keep small brushes handy for cleaning straws as they are easy to lose because they are so tiny. I'm so happy with them and glad we got them a long time ago.
