I installed the device on a Surface Pro 7 connected to a VGA monitor. After installing the driver I rebooted and a wallpaper appeared, progress. BUT there were no links to the desktop. I started my browser, then File Explorer, then Outlook. There was no display of these applications. After moving the mouse, the taskbar appeared, but no other images. I tried changing the resolution and scaling but still nothing. I tried using only a VGA monitor and the display came up at a very high magnification, but the cursor couldn't select anything to adjust the size or zoom. Apparently there is a software problem! The Surface app is less than a month old and the monitor is over 10 years old. If Joe does not answer my email satisfactorily, the device will be sent back very soon!
