When they say these are 3 inch scissors, they mean the whole scissors, even the handle. They're great for small, detailed crafts. (I use them to try out die cuts in very hard to reach places) They are good too because I was able to easily remove the glue from the blades with a small alcohol wipe. I use strong, very tacky adhesives and this is a great feature. The blades and tips are sharp, I wouldn't give them to a child, but they're just great for adults. You have fully met my needs. I have carpal tunnel and using scissors with tiny finger grips has been a problem. With them I can take a comfortable position. They're also great for "fussy cutting" of stamped images after they've been painted. Ideal for getting into hard-to-reach places. enjoy it!
