I bought it to commute to work. Didn't know it was a rechargeable light (my bad). I'm not sure I like this option. The light just stops working when the battery is low, no dimming so you know the power is running out. You can't twist a battery and squeeze a little more life out of it. So I have to schedule one day a month to take it off the bike and charge it. It works as advertised and is quite bright. The phone holder seems a bit patchy and I don't know if I want to risk my phone jumping out of it onto the road while driving. The attached horn actually works, but adds a small extra step to remove the flashlight for charging inside. I think I could charge them locally if I had a long USB cable and plugged it into an external outlet.
