I was looking for a sugar free protein drink without the odd name "fruit" to hide the fact that it's actually a sweetener, like monk fruit, which my naturopath told me to avoid . I'm a huge Isagenix fan and love their shakes, they always leave me energized and comfortably full after breakfast, but they don't work for a candida diet and I'm not impressed with how much sugar cane they contain. molasses etc. I'm no longer on a candida diet but I've decided for the health of my gut that I don't want to add unnecessary sugar to my daily life, sugar that isn't even worth it because you don't enjoy it as a special treat, but only as an unnecessary addition to make the drink less bland. With all the fruits people love to add to their drinks, sugar is just wasted calories to me. Until they make a sugar-free, diabetic-friendly smoothie with no artificial sweeteners, I'm sticking with it. Just add the sugar-free applesauce I eat all the time and the sugar-free almond milk.
