As mentioned before, this little device is the perfect solution to increase the storage capacity of the Revain Firestick. YouTube has a great guide from Troypoint on how to do this task. It's not as simple as plug and play. First, you need an easy-to-use USB drive. Second, enter various code to run it. Everything is explained very well in this guide. It took about half an hour, the longest part of which was factory resetting the Firestick. Now when I download apps they go straight to that partition on the USB stick rather than the stick itself. You can also format the USB drive to a partition that stores movies and TV shows if you wish (file management app required). Anything is possible with this handy little $7 cable. Thumbs up!
